AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND FIREFIGHTING FACILITY, KOSRAE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Kosrae Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Facility (ARFF) have been constructed to provide state of the art emergency response capabilities to the Kosrae International Airport in the Federated States of Micronesia. The Kosrae International Airport serves Continental Micronesia’s “Island Hopper” flight as well as other regional air carriers. Bringing the emergency response capabilities up to standard was critical to maintain flight operations. The project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.kosraearrf-tanks

The project includes 4 high bay garages for ARFF and support vehicles, warehouse space, sleeping quarters, exercise facilities, training room, dining areas, men and women locker rooms, laundry facilities, conference rooms, watch/alarm area, storage facilities, workshop, generator room with complete backup generator, mechanical and electrical rooms, fuel storage tanks, water storage tanks, trash enclosure, transformer and enclosure, new PCC paving aprons, security kosraearrfinterior2_Panorama4fencing, fuel filling area, and landscaping.
